6 years ago saw Justice perform in Sydney on Australia Day! As today is Australia Day, a little honouring of the day seems fit!
26th of January sees all Australia commemorate the arrival of the first fleet into Sydney cove some 225 years ago. For all of you whose math isn’t so ripe or one’s whom just cannot be bothered, that was 1788. Now the day see’s the entire country dress in their green & gold, or blue, red & white and head down to their local fore-shore with a stubby in hand to behold the firework display put-forth by each town government.
With all this non-sense of changing ‘Australia Day’ to ‘Citizen’s Day’ due to racist appeal’s, I think it’s time to sit back, crack a beer and take in another Australia Day lived.
After trolling the net for a look at the new Pioneer CDJ-2000Nexus Platinum Edition, I came across this crazy 5 and a half minute mix engineered by none other than melodic synth soul trio MONSTA! After recently releasing their self-titled EP on Skrillex’s label OWSLA, their solely instrument based, sample-free production’s and set’s, accompanied by ‘Skaar’s’ soulful voice, will leave you craving more! Keep an eye out, this trio is going to be huge come the end of 2013!
Thought to be a collaboration between Skrillex and Boys Noize, Dog Blood has caused quite the commotion releasing it’s new EP under Boysnoize Records and OWSLA.
The evidence has been brought forward that ‘Dog Blood’ is indeed the mixed forces of the two heavy bass producer’s. As Boysnoize Records is obviously owned by Boys Noize, as is Skrillex to OWSLA, it continues to point to the fact that ‘Dog Blood’ could be an offspring super-group.
Another sweep of the net and from a member of the Erol Alkan Forum, evidence was stated:
“Skrillex played ‘Next Order’ as his first track on the BNR night at Bootshaus, Cologne. Alex (Boys Noize), who was djing right before Skrillex told me that this is the track they produced together.”
Again, evidence piling up to the fact that this very much could be a Super-Duo project.
However, all this doesn’t prove very much at all. From a blasé theory to a statement whose credibility could be questioned without fail, the evidence isn’t very appealing.
Just thought you would like to take a step into the life of a world renowned producer by the name of ‘Skrillex,’ AKA Sonny Moore. After just dropping his new EP ‘Leaving,’ Skrillex stated via ‘Drip.F.M,
“Here are some songs that i put together for an EP that came together last minute. ‘Scary Bolly Dub’ is a song I’ve been playing in my sets for a while. I use it more as a DJ tool, but I wanted you guys to have it.
‘The Reason’ and ‘Leaving’ came together last minute. I made ‘Leaving’ in my hotel room in mexico and just finished ‘The Reason’ an hour ago in my hotel room in Miami. I guess it’s just kind of a reflection of how I’m feeling right now. Hope you guys enjoy these quality wavs.”
The new direction of sound in his new EP has made him susceptible to criticism from his bass banging ardent fans, as he takes a more ‘relaxed’ vibe, steering away from his typical ‘face-eating’ bass-lines and ‘gut-wrenching’ growls!
More than less, ‘Leaving’ is an inspirational piece of art regardless of that fact that no ‘face-eating’ or ‘gut-wrenching’ occurs!
Released today, Feed Me’s new banging tune ‘Death By Robot’ incorporates all aspects of electronic dance genre’s while literally causing death to your ear drum’s due to awesomeness. The graphic designer turned electronic music producer has had a stint of collaboration’s recently, most notable with fellow UK ‘folktronic indie’ band, Crystal Fighter’s developing ‘Love Is All I Got’.
